A young marimbist for the 21st century makes her debut!
Nanae Mimura is currently a marimbist at the graduate school of Boston Academy of Music.
She has already won the Percussive Art Society Competition in Los Angeles in 1999 and the Concert Artist Guild Competition in New York as well as other competitions. She also received acclaim for her recital held at Carnegie Hall in October of 1999. With a wide repertoire from classical to pop, this debut album opens a "new world of marimba". (As of 2000)
